Panchkula, Aug. 27 -- Panchkula Police arrested the husband of a 42-year-old woman within two hours of her murder in Pinjore and recovered the sharp-edged weapon allegedly used in the crime, police said.
According to DCP Crime and Traffic Amrinder Singh, the woman was found seriously injured at a boutique in Abdulapur Colony, Pinjore, on August 26.
She had suffered a deep cut injury to her neck and was bleeding heavily.
Local residents helped take her to a government hospital, where she died during treatment.
Preliminary investigation indicated that the woman had been murdered with a sharp-edged weapon.
Police inspected the crime scene and collected evidence following the incident.
