Shimla, May 19 -- The Himachal Pradesh High Court has introduced austerity measures, including car-pooling for judges and a partial work-from-home arrangement for registry staff, in view of directives issued by the Government of India and the Supreme Court of India.

According to a circular issued by the High Court Registrar General Bhupesh Sharma on Monday, the measures have been adopted with immediate effect following an Office Memorandum issued by the Department of Personnel and Training, Government of India, on May 12 and a subsequent circular issued by the Supreme Court on May 15.
