Kangra, Sept. 1 -- Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) Vice Chairman Ajay Verma on Monday said the state government was taking important steps to provide students with quality education as well as modern facilities for sports activities in schools.
He was speaking after inaugurating the Kangra Zone Under-14 boys and girls sports competition at Government Senior Secondary School, New Kangra, here.
The chief guest was welcomed by teachers and students from various schools.
School Principal Lalit Mohan briefed Verma about the competition, stating that 462 players from 44 schools of the Kangra Zone were participating in the four-day event.
