Shimla, March 27 -- BJP MLA Randhir Sharma on Friday raised concerns over the ad hoc appointments to the post of Director General of Police (DGP) during a discussion in the Himachal Pradesh Assembly on the police department.
He was participating in the debate on a cut motion moved by the Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur while discussing the budgetary demand related to the police department.
Speaking during the debate, Sharma said that the state police department was currently being headed by an ad hoc DGP and alleged that repeated temporary arrangements were affecting administrative continuity and stability within the police force.
