Dharamshala, June 17 -- Continuing its zero-tolerance policy against drug trafficking, Nurpur Police has arrested an alleged drug supplier from Punjab and recovered 15.18 grams of heroin (chitta) from his possession during a targeted operation near Kandwal in Kangra district.
According to a statement issued by the Superintendent of Police Office, Police District Nurpur, the CIA Nurpur team acted on specific and credible intelligence and launched a swift operation against a suspected narcotics network.
The accused has been identified as Anil Sharma (48), son of Ramesh Sharma, a resident of House No. 23, Kali Ghanupur Shiharta, Amritsar district, Punjab.
