Nurpur, Sept. 16 -- In a major step towards strengthening public safety and improving access to police services, the Kotla police outpost in Himachal Pradesh's Nurpur police district has been upgraded to a full-fledged police station on Wednesday.

Himachal Pradesh Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Minister Prof Chandra Kumar formally inaugurated the new police station, in the presence of Superintendent of Police, Nurpur, Ilma Afroz, Additional Superintendent of Police Dharam Chand Verma, police personnel, elected representatives and local dignitaries.
