Palampur, July 4 -- Himachal Pradesh Principal Secretary, Jal Shakti Department, Dr. Abhishek Jain, today directed that all Assistant Engineers' offices in the state be fully digitised within the next two weeks to enhance efficiency, transparency and service delivery.
Issuing the directions during a workshop on the use of the Internet of Things (IoT) and technology in water management at Hotel VillaCamellia in Palampur, Dr. Jain also instructed Assistant Engineers to personally inspect all projects costing more than Rs 1 crore, while Executive Engineers will inspect projects valued above Rs 5 crore. Inspection reports will be submitted to the Principal Secretary on a monthly basis.
