Dharamshala, July 27 -- The first grand cultural evening of Vikas Purush Shri G.S. Bali Bal Mela 2026 commenced in a colourful manner at the historic Gandhi Ground in Nagrota Bagwan today, with Himachal Pradesh Health Minister Dr Dhaniram Shandil paying rich tributes to late Congress leader G.S. Bali and describing him as a leader who would "remain immortal in the hearts of the people".
Addressing the gathering as the chief guest on the third day of the Bal Mela, Dr Shandil said the annual event keeps alive the memories and legacy of the "Vikas Purush" every year.
