Hamirpur (HP), June 19 -- In a significant achievement, Police Station Nadaun successfully intercepted a large consignment of illicit liquor on 18th night.
Acting upon credible intelligence received during routine patrol and surveillance duties, the police team immediately established a checking point and intercepted the pickup vehicle. During the search, 130 boxes of Old Monk Rum were recovered.
Each box contained 12 bottles of 750 ml capacity, amounting to a total recovery of 1,560 bottles and 11,70,000 ml of liquor, said SP, Hamirpur Balbir Singh Thakur.
The total cost of the run is stated to be around 15,60,000 rupees.
