Sanaa, Aug. 7 -- Yemen's Houthi militia launched fresh missile and drone attacks on the eastern city of Marib on Friday, just one day after conducting strikes on the government's military positions which left dozens dead and several more wounded, according to Yemen's state-run Saba news agency.

According to the state media report, Yemeni armed forces successfully intercepted several Houthi drones over Marib, with videos captured on social media showing smoke rising above the city. The Houthis gave no comment on the latest attack at the time of reporting.

The attack followed a statement on Thursday by the Houthis' military spokesman Yahya Saree, who said the Iran-backed Islamists had carried out a "large-scale and special military operatio...
