Washington, April 15 -- House Democrats have moved to impeach US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth on a five-count resolution, accusing him of serious charges ranging from abuse of power, to war crimes, and US military's operations in Iran and other related actions.

The resolution is led by Rep Yassamin Ansari and backed by eight Democratic lawmakers, including Reps Steve Cohen, Jasmine Crockett, Nikema Williams, Dina Titus, David Min, Shri Thanedar, Brittany Pettersen, and Sarah McBride, according to Axios.

While the resolution has no chance of passing in a Republican-controlled Congress, it will put political pressure on the Pentagon, and highlights that Hegseth will be grilled following ealier efforts targeting members of President Donald...
