Imphal, May 19 -- With an aim to resolve the hostage crisis, the Manipur government has sent two different teams comprising of Church leaders to conduct talks with Naga and Kuki groups.
Both the communities belong to Christian tribal groups of Manipur.
Kuki militants are suspected of abducting six Naga men which was followed by abduction of 14 Kuki individuals.
Security forces have also intensified combing and search operations in different parts of Manipur.
A ten-member delegation of Church leaders representing the Council for Baptist Churches in North East India and the Manipur Baptist Convention have already started efforts to negotiate peaceful release of all hostages.
