Kolkata, July 14 -- The second phase of the West Bengal Assembly's Budget session will commence on July 17 and continue till July 25, during which ministers in charge of various departments will present and seek approval for their respective budgetary demands.

State Finance Minister Swapan Dasgupta had already presented the state Budget last month, while the first phase of the Budget Session concluded earlier. The upcoming phase will focus on discussions and voting on the demands for grants for individual departments. According to Assembly sources, the budgetary demands of 13 key departments will be taken up during the session.
