Jammu, July 30 -- Hockey Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday hailed the decision of Hockey India to introduce the saffron jersey for the Indian hockey team replacing it with blue for the 2026 FIH Hockey World Cup.
In a release, Hockey J&K General Secretary, Dr Taran Singh while hailing the decision expressed that the new jersey colour will help players to stay more focussed on the astro-turf.
He however, dismissed the allegations of saffronisation of Indian Hockey and expressed that many local and national European nations are already using the orange colour jersey.
