Lucknow, June 25 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday appointed Himanshu Raj Pandit as the Uttar Pradesh state social media convenor as part of the newly announced state executive.
A computer science graduate, Pandit was serving as the state joint convenor of the BJP's IT Cell before being elevated to the new responsibility under the leadership of state BJP president Pankaj Chaudhary ahead of the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.
A native of Gorakhpur, Pandit has been associated with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and other Sangh-affiliated organisations.
