Palampur, Feb. 26 -- Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Agricultural University (CSKHPKV), Palampur, distributed 25 backyard poultry units to Scheduled Caste farmers of Kangra district to strengthen sustainable rural livelihoods under an ICAR-funded project.
The inauguration-cum-distribution ceremony was organised at Dr. G.C. Negi College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences of the university. The chief guest, Dr. A.K. Mohanty, Director of ICAR-Central Institute for Research on Cattle, Meerut, lauded the university's efforts in translating scientific research into field-level applications to enhance the income and nutritional security of rural households.
