Shimla, June 29 -- The Himachal Pradesh government on Monday announced 50 per cent capital subsidy on electric buses and 30 per cent subsidy on diesel buses under Phase-IV of the Rajiv Gandhi Swarozgaar Start-up Yojana to promote self-employment among unemployed youth while strengthening public transport connectivity across the state.
According to an official spokesperson, eligible beneficiaries operating buses on around 1,000 identified routes will also receive a monthly operational incentive of Rs 65,000 for electric buses and Rs 50,000 for diesel buses for five years.
