Shimla, July 12 -- Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Sunday said the Himachal Pradesh government is committed to strengthening the rural economy by promoting natural farming, providing assured markets and creating modern quality-testing infrastructure to enhance farmers' incomes.

Sukhu said agriculture and allied sectors remain the backbone of the state's economy and the government has adopted a farmer-centric approach aimed at transforming agriculture through progressive policies and sustainable farming practices.
