Shimla, Aug. 26 -- Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Wednesday said the state government had intensified its campaign against drug trafficking and seized illegal assets worth Rs 63.09 crore allegedly acquired through the drug trade during the past three years.
Replying to a question raised by MLA Kewal Singh Pathania during Question Hour in the Assembly, the Chief Minister said 5,848 cases had been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act during the period, naming 9,363 accused.
He said charge sheets had been filed in 5,194 cases, while cancellation reports had been prepared in 23 cases and untraced reports in 58 cases.
