Shimla, June 17 -- Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu urged the Centre to enhance the free power royalty share for Himachal Pradesh in Central Public Sector Undertaking (CPSU) hydropower projects and sought resolution of long-pending financial and energy-related issues concerning the state.
During a meeting with union Minister for Power, Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal in New Delhi on Tuesday evening, Sukhu requested that the free power royalty share in CPSU projects be increased beyond the existing 12 per cent once the initial 12-year critical period of operation is completed.
