Shimla, July 17 -- Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Friday said the state government has released Rs 45 crore to clear pending payments to apple growers under the Market Intervention Scheme (MIS) and launched a dedicated website and mobile application to digitise the entire procurement process.
Chairing a meeting of the Horticulture Department here, the Chief Minister said payments through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) had been made to apple growers for produce procured under the MIS during 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025.
He said growers who supplied up to 30 bags of apples under the scheme had already received their payments, while the process of releasing dues to those who supplied 100 bags or more was underway. The ...
