Shimla, Sept. 1 -- The Himachal Pradesh government has proposed recruitment of teaching and non-teaching staff in all six state-run universities through the Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission and the Himachal Pradesh State Selection Commission.
The move is aimed at ensuring transparency and merit-based selection in university recruitments. Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Tuesday introduced the Himachal Pradesh University Amendment Bill, 2026, in the state Assembly.
Once passed, the amended law will provide for recruitment through the state commissions not only in Himachal Pradesh University but also in Sardar Patel University, Mandi, Atal Medical University, Nerchowk, Himachal Pradesh Technical University, Hamirpur; Agric...
