Shimla, July 13 -- Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Monday said the state government has intensified efforts to recover its long-pending financial dues from the Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) after securing what he described as a major breakthrough in the Kishau multipurpose project.
The Chief Minister said he held a detailed telephonic discussion with union Power Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, seeking the Centre's support to safeguard Himachal Pradesh's statutory rights and ensure recovery of the state's pending dues from the BBMB.
Sukhu said Himachal Pradesh had been waiting for its legitimate claims for several years and the government was committed to securing the state's rightful share.
