Shimla, Sept. 7 -- Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Monday said the state government was contemplating granting Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA) to Medical Officers (Specialists) and was taking several measures to strengthen healthcare services across the state. Presiding over a meeting of the Health Department here, Sukhu said the government was committed to providing world-class healthcare facilities to patients within the state and was filling vacant posts in healthcare institutions.

He said strengthening all medical colleges in the state remained a priority and various steps taken in this direction had started yielding positive results.
