Shimla, March 1 -- As a part of the ongoing anti-Chitta campaign, Himachal Pradesh Police conducted synchronized raids at 145 locations across the state, leading to the seizure of narcotics and illicit liquor and registration of multiple cases under relevant laws.
Police teams recovered 406 grams of charas, 19.236 grams of chitta (heroin), 124 grams of poppy husk (chura-post) and 465,100 millilitres of illicit liquor. Six cases were registered under the NDPS Act and four under the Excise Act.
A police spokesperson said today that the operation was carried out during the second phase of the campaign to curb drug trafficking and dismantle supply networks.
