Dehra (Kangra), June 27 -- Reinforcing its zero-tolerance policy against drug trafficking, the Himachal Pradesh Police have destroyed a large quantity of narcotic substances worth Rs 18.75 lakh, as estimated in the international market, as part of the state-wide observance of 'Anti-Chitta Day' on the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.

Dehra District Superintendent of Police Sandeep Dhawal told UNI on Saturday that the state-wide Anti-Chitta campaign was launched by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on November 15, 2025, with the objective of achieving a "Chitta-Free Himachal".
