Shimla, May 30 -- Polling in the third and final phase of the Himachal Pradesh Panchayati Raj elections recorded an impressive voter turnout of 80.81 per cent on Saturday, reflecting strong participation in grassroots democratic institutions across the state.
According to official figures of State Election Commission, votes were cast in 1,189 gram panchayats spread across all 12 districts.
Of the total 15,39,161 eligible voters, 12,43,767 exercised their franchise.
