Shimla, June 26 -- Himachal Pradesh on Friday destroyed seized narcotics worth an estimated Rs 13.28 crore at 10 locations across the state while observing the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking as 'Anti-Chitta Day', marking the largest-ever simultaneous scientific disposal of drugs in the state's history.

The exercise was carried out under the state-wide 'Anti-Chitta Movement' launched by Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on November 15, 2025, as part of the government's campaign to eradicate the menace of 'Chitta' and other synthetic drugs from the state.
