Shimla, July 29 -- Himachal Pradesh High Court has directed the Kinnaur district administration and the Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd. (HPPCL) to deploy two additional heavy machines at the debris-hit Lippa area to expedite restoration work and prevent further water accumulation, while impleading the State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) and the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) as parties in the case.
Hearing a public interest litigation on July 28, the Division Bench reviewed an affidavit filed by Kinnaur Deputy Commissioner Dr. Amit Kumar Sharma, who appeared before the court in person.
