Shimla, May 13 -- : Himachal Pradesh Governor Kavinder Gupta on Wednesday announced a comprehensive fuel conservation campaign across the state, declaring the Lok Bhavan (formerly Raj Bhavan) as "Fuel Conservation Zones" in response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's national call for austerity and self-reliance amid the ongoing West Asia crisis and rising global fuel prices.
Addressing officials and representatives at Lok Bhavan, the Governor said Himachal Pradesh would set an example in promoting responsible fuel consumption and energy conservation through administrative reforms and public participation.
