Chandigarh, March 31 -- In a significant policy reversal, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu announced in the State Assembly on Tuesday that the government has decided to withdraw the recently proposed hike in entry tax for five-seater and 6-to-12-seater vehicles.

Addressing the Assembly, the Chief Minister confirmed that the tax rates would revert to their previous levels, maintaining a fee of Rs 70 for five-seater vehicles and Rs110 for those with 6 to 12 seats.
