Shimla, March 13 -- BJP state spokesperson Sandeepani Bhardwaj on Thursday accused the Congress government in Himachal Pradesh of repeatedly trying to avoid the democratic process.
He alleged that the Congress government lacks public confidence and is therefore attempting to delay every election.
Bhardwaj said that recently, the Urban Development Department issued instructions to District Election Officers and Deputy Commissioners to implement the reservation roster in 53 urban local bodies.
However, the government does not want to hold elections for the 21 newly created urban local bodies. He said this clearly shows that the Congress government is working on a strategy to postpone elections rather than hold them.
