Shimla, June 30 -- Around 15 persons with disabilities from five districts of Himachal Pradesh received artificial limbs at a distribution camp inaugurated by Governor Kavinder Gupta at Lok Bhavan here on Tuesday.

The camp was organised by ACT Humane, a non-governmental organisation, in collaboration with the Himachal Pradesh State Red Cross Society.

The beneficiaries, belonging to Una, Kangra, Rohru, Shimla and Sirmaur districts, were identified during a registration and assessment camp held at the State Red Cross building on June 4.

The artificial limbs were provided free of cost to help them regain mobility and lead more independent lives.
