Shimla, March 28 -- Himachal Pradesh State Forest Development Corporation has been suffering an estimated recurring loss of Rs 2.31 crore annually in the trade of turpentine oil and resin due to the failure to access international market data, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu informed the Assembly on Saturday while tabling the Public Undertakings Committee (PUC) report.
The report, presented in the House, pertains to the action taken on the 77th report of the PAC (2017-18) relating to the Forest Corporation. It reviews the implementation of earlier recommendations and examines the corporation's pricing, marketing strategy and response to changing market conditions.
