Hamirpur (HP), April 3 -- During his four-day visit to Hamirpur district, Dr. S.P. Katyal, Chairman of the State Food Commission, inspected various facilities including ration depots, warehouses, flour mills, Anganwadi centers, schools, old-age homes, and several other institutions.
Addressing a press conference at the Circuit House here on Friday, Dr. Katyal stated that he had conducted a ground-level assessment of the schemes being implemented under the National Food Security Act (NFSA).
He noted that, while the implementation of all schemes was generally satisfactory, he has issued specific directives in several key areas to ensure the quality of food items and improve their delivery to consumers.
