Shimla, Aug. 1 -- Himachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri on Saturday inaugurated and laid the foundation stones of drinking water, irrigation and fire services projects worth about Rs 23 crore during a tour of rural areas in Chamba Assembly constituency.
He also announced a new Jal Shakti Department sub-division at Saho and a special grant of Rs 50 lakh for rehabilitation works in flash flood-hit Obri village.
During the visit, Agnihotri interacted with local residents, heard their grievances and directed officials to ensure their time-bound redressal. He said the state government's priority was to reach villages and resolve public issues at the grassroots.
