Himachal D.El.Ed counselling: 1,308 seats allotted in first round, 1,142 remain vacant

Dharamshala, Sept. 2 -- The first phase of counselling for D.El.Ed. (CET)-2026, conducted by the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE), has been completed, with 1,308 of the total 2,450 available seats allotted to candidates.

The counselling process was held from August 21 to 31, 2026.

As many as 1,142 seats remained vacant after the first round and will be filled in subsequent rounds.

HPBOSE Chairman Dr Rajesh Sharma said the seat allotment was carried out strictly on the basis of merit, candidates' choices and prescribed transparency norms.
