Shimla, June 26 -- Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Friday raised several long-pending issues concerning the state's rights during a meeting with Gulab Chand Kataria, seeking his support for their early resolution.
During the meeting, Sukhu reiterated Himachal Pradesh's claim to its 7.19 per cent share in the union Territory of Chandigarh, stating that the state, as a successor to the erstwhile Punjab under the Punjab Reorganisation Act, 1966, was entitled to its legitimate share based on the population ratio of the transferred areas.
