Shimla, July 23 -- Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Thursday launched the Himachal Biodiversity Stakeholder-led Conservation Unified Scheme (HiBiSCUS), a flagship initiative aimed at biodiversity conservation, ecological restoration and sustainable livelihoods through community participation.

The Chief Minister also released Rs 2 crore from the Himachal Pradesh State Biodiversity Board to the Forest Department for implementation of the scheme across the state.
