Shimla, June 23 -- Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Tuesday dedicated a newly constructed multi-storeyed parking facility near Authe ckland Tunnel to the public, saying the Rs 7.60-crore project would help ease traffic congestion and improve parking management in the state capital.
With Shimla witnessing a growing demand for organised parking, this facility can accommodate 145 vehicles.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said the state government was committed to providing modern civic amenities by ensuring planned urban development. He said the parking facility would reduce roadside parking, decongest major roads around the Auckland Tunnel area and facilitate smoother vehicular movement.
