Shimla, Sept. 26 -- Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Saturday inaugurated an MRI machine costing Rs 23 crore and a Tertiary Care Cancer Centre equipped with LINAC and CT Simulator machines at Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Government Medical College and Hospital, Nerchowk, in Mandi district.He also laid the foundation stone for a PET Scan Machine Block at the medical college, to be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 51 crore.
Interacting with faculty members and students later, the Chief Minister said strengthening the health sector was among the priorities of the state government and efforts were being made to equip all medical colleges with modern healthcare facilities.
