Shimla, Aug. 2 -- Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Sunday inaugurated the 200-bedded hospital building at Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru Government Medical College and Hospital, Chamba, constructed at a cost of Rs 158 crore, saying the facility would significantly strengthen healthcare services and medical education in the state.
The newly constructed hospital, comprising Blocks A, B and C, has been built along with residential and hostel facilities and is expected to enhance healthcare delivery in Chamba and adjoining areas. The Chief Minister said strengthening healthcare infrastructure and ensuring access to quality medical services closer to people's homes remained a top priority of the state government.
