Shimla, May 27 -- Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Wednesday, announced that a new school building would be constructed at Nerwa in Shimla district at a cost of Rs 5 crore, while reiterating the state government's commitment to strengthening education infrastructure and expanding quality education in rural areas.

Interacting with students of Government Senior Secondary School Nerwa, recently brought under the CBSE curriculum, the Chief Minister said the state government had converted more than 150 schools into CBSE-affiliated institutions to ensure better educational opportunities for students studying in rural regions.
