Shimla, Oct. 10 -- The Himachal Pradesh Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, today approved a series of decisions covering government recruitment, education, healthcare, farmer welfare and disaster relief, including the engagement of 4,090 para-workers in the Jal Shakti Department and the filling of 4,800 posts for 100 additional CBSE-affiliated government schools.
In a major measure for dairy farmers, the Cabinet doubled assistance under the Milk Incentive Scheme from Rs 3 to Rs 6 per litre and directed government departments to procure milk and milk products from Milkfed.
