Shimla, July 20 -- The Himachal Pradesh Cabinet on Monday approved a Non-Practising Allowance (NPA) for super-specialist faculty members serving under the Department of Medical Education and Research and substantially enhanced stipends for postgraduate medical students, besides taking a series of decisions aimed at strengthening healthcare, education, road safety and infrastructure in the state.
The meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, approved the grant of NPA to faculty possessing recognised DM, M.Ch. and DrNB qualifications.
