Shimla, Sept. 21 -- Shimla Police has seized properties worth approximately Rs 4.13 crore allegedly acquired from proceeds of drug trafficking, taking the total value of properties seized by the police in 15 NDPS cases in 2026 to more than Rs 12.52 crore.
Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu while stating this on Monday commended the Shimla Police for its effective action against drug trafficking and for identifying and seizing properties allegedly acquired through drug proceeds.
Sukhu said the fight against the drug menace must go beyond the arrest of traffickers and seizure of narcotics and extend to dismantling the financial networks that sustain the illegal drug trade.
