Kangra, Aug. 31 -- The District Child Welfare Committee, Kangra, has urged parents, schools and society to work together to protect children and adolescents from excessive and uncontrolled mobile phone use, stressing that technology should remain a tool for learning and communication rather than become a substitute for real life.
In an advisory issued for parents and society, Committee Chairman Vikramjit Sharma said mobile phones had become an important medium for education, information and communication, but excessive screen time, gaming, social media use, late-night phone use and withdrawal from real-life activities were matters of concern, particularly during adolescence.
