Shimla, March 16 -- District Police Shimla have busted an interstate drug trafficking network involved in the alleged supply of 'chitta' (heroin) and arrested the alleged main supplier from Chandigarh following a sustained investigation under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
According to police, the action was taken under a special anti-narcotics campaign being carried out in the district. A case was registered at Kumarsain Police Station on March 12, 2026, vide FIR No. 20/2026 under Sections 21 and 29 of the NDPS Act after the police recovered 12.36 grams of heroin during routine enforcement operations.
