Dharamshala, April 1 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Himachal Pradeshlaunched a sharp attack on the state government, alleging that the Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu-led dispensation has transformed the hill state into a "tax state" instead of promoting tourism.

Addressing the media in Dharamshala on Monday, BJP state spokesperson Sanjay Sharma claimed that the government's policies are increasingly burdening both residents and tourists financially. He alleged that development activities have come to a standstill, with the government focusing primarily on revenue collection from the public.
