Shimla, Aug. 2 -- The Him Rakshak-Himalayan Health, Environment and Social Welfare Society (HHESWS) on Sunday marked its first Foundation Day with a plantation drive at Ani in Kullu district of Himachal reaffirming its commitment to environmental conservation, healthcare and social welfare.

The event coincided with the first death anniversary of late Usha Chauhan, in whose memory the organisation has been established. Sub-Divisional Magistrate Lakshman Singh Kanet presided over the programme and planted a sapling, urging people, particularly youth, to plant more trees and ensure their proper care.
